             MINISTRY OF DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENTS
Partnership Agreement (PA) for the Development Framework 2014-2020
«Transport Infrastructure, Environment and Sustainable Development
Operational Programme (YMEPERAA)»
Funding Body: Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation
Implementation Body: Hellenic Aviation Service Provider (HASP)
Name of the Action:

Supply, Installation, configuration and commissioning of a VHF and UHF Transceiver System, with OPS Code 5001079
Main Target of the Action:

Improvement of the safety of infrastructures and air navigation services for the island airports of the Trans-European Network
Information of the Action: The project concerns the supply, installation, configuration and commissioning of new VHF and UHF transceiver systems to meet the needs of air-ground voice communications, the Aeronautical Mobile (Route) Service (AM(R)S), of Airports and of Athens and Macedonia Area Control Centers.
The items to be procured will incorporate capabilities and know-how tested in the field of Air Navigation Services, properly adapted to cover the specified special requirements of the CAA, for more efficient management of Air Traffic. Also, due to saturation of the aeronautical spectrum (118-137 MHz), these items will serve the implementation of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1079/2012, as amended.

Transceiver systems are to be installed in Airports and in Telecommunications Stations at high-altitude locations. In particular, to achieve the goal, new VHF and UHF transceiver systems will be installed in the following Regions:

  1. Attica
  2. Western Macedonia
  3. Northern Aegean
  4. Central Greece
  5. Ionian Islands
  6. Crete
  7. Western Greece
  8. South Aegean
  9. Central Macedonia
  10. Eastern Macedonian Thrace
