"Supply and installation of Air Navigation systems (10 DVOR, 13 DME, 6 ILS) at Airports and runway demarcation sites" with OPS Code 5028263
Object:
The operation concerns the supply and installation of new Air Navigation Systems. More specifically, it concerns Navigation Systems (10 DVORs, 13 DMEs, 6 ILS) at Greek Airports and ATS (Air Traffic Services) Routes significant points.
Main Objective:
Improving the security of facilities and air navigation of the island airports of the Trans-European Network.
In particular, to achieve the goal, the following Navigation Systems, will be installed as follows by Region and location:
1. Region of Attica
-5 ILS and 2 DME at Athens International Airport
-1 DVOR and 1 DME at Ymittos site (Stroma)
-1 DVOR and 1 DME at the Center of Electronic Applications and Major Maintenance (KHEMS)
2. North Aegean Region
-1 DVOR at Chios Airport
-1 DVOR at Mytilini Airport
3. Region of Peloponnese
-1 DME at “Didymo” Argolida
4. Region of Central Macedonia
-1 DVOR at Fyska Kilkis
-1 DVOR and 1 DME at “Trilofo”, Thessaloniki
5. Region of Central Greece
-1 DVOR and 1 DME at “Koukouvagies” Karystos
-1 DME at Tanagra Airport
6. South Aegean Region
-1 DME at “Havouna” Kea
-1 ILS and 1 DVOR at Rhodes Airport
-1 DME at Paros Airport
7. Region of the Ionian Islands
-1 DME at Kefalonia Airport
-1 DVOR at Zakynthos Airport
8. Region of Thessaly
-1 DVOR at Nea Anchialos Airport
-1 DME at “Glossa” Skopelos
9. Region of Crete
-1 DME at “Paleochora”, Chania
HCAA, in the context of Air Navigation Systems modernization and in compliance with the relevant requirements of European Regulations, by exploiting the above Navigation Systems, aims at the improvement of the Air Navigation Safety, more efficient management of the Air Traffic of both civilian and military aircraft flights at Greek Airports and Area Control Centers of Athens and Makedonia, ensuring at the same time the maximum possible benefit/cost ratio. The systems to be supplied will incorporate capabilities and know-how tested in the field of Air Navigation Services, suitably adapted to meet the specified technical requirements of HCAA.
The program is implemented with the co-financing of Greece (Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport) and the European Union Cohesion Fund.
